I help law firms, IP practices and professional services businesses improve how Finance works. That might mean choosing a new finance system, fixing billing and WIP, improving reporting and data, or working out what needs to change before a bigger transformation begins.
My story
Before setting up TrueHorizon, I spent 18 years working in finance technology and transformation at a major international law firm, ultimately leading the global Financial Systems function.
Since then, I have worked independently with professional services organisations on finance transformation, systems strategy and selection, billing and WIP, pricing and budgeting, data and reporting, and technology-enabled change.
I tend to work where Finance, Technology and the business meet. Often the starting point is a problem that is not yet neatly defined. I help work out what actually needs to change, bring the right people together and turn it into something practical that can be delivered.
I am also interested in where automation and AI can genuinely improve Finance. For me, that starts with good processes, reliable data and a clear business need, rather than technology for its own sake.
